Photoshop Project #1

This is my first aging attempt. I went for the natural age look. My at about 50 years old. How I did this was relatively simple. I took an older mans face and lowered the opacity and then used the liquify filter and basically stretched it over my face much like a mask. I then deleted the mouth and eye areas to make it look more like me.

The Facebook Skit

A video I found on YouTube parodizing facebook. Funny because they are probably the two most popular websites that promote New Media esque stuff.

Old to Young

Here is the opposite of making someone older. Making someone younger! I think this is a great photoshop job, its actually quite amazing! I might try this technique on my father or even grandfathers face to see what they looked like at my age.

I seemed to have come across a webpage that informs one how to age people using basic photoshop tools. I think that this is a good technique but shouldn't be the only technique used. Here is a before and after shot of the technique used on a young woman's face.

SNL - Digital Short - A Special Christmas Box *Uncensored Ve

This is genious, but it may be in poor taste, oh well. Andy Samberg, the dark haired guy, got onto SNL by making short videos, music videos and comedy skits and posting them on the internet. It shows how that on the interent an artist has a huge amount of potential viewers.

Pachelbel Rant

I recently travelled to forum that I visit on occasion and I noticed that a member had posted a video reguarding this clssical song. It is called pachelbel's rant and is a very funny video. It really makes you wonder if there is any unmade music today, or if all the possible songs have already been written and everything now is a cover or rip off.

New Years Eve 06 in Red Deer, Guess What I am?

Webpages that I may enjoy

html://www.calgaryflames.com

Only the greatest sports team of all time. Many people wonder why they are called the flames. It is actually because the city where they formally resided, Atlanta, had some problems with fire back in the day. I don't really understand why their new team is called the Thrashers though.

www.kappasigmalethbridge.com

I belong to a fraternity on campus here a U of L. We recently just chartered, which is a big deal.

www.nhl.com or www.tsn.ca

This is where I keep up to date on all the stats and recent sports news

www.sportsnet.ca

I browse the forums here to keep an eye out for trade rumours or to see what other people have to say about things NHL related.

www.youtube.com

I don't really browse youtube searching for entertaining videos, but I do venture here often.

www.ckxu.com

campus radio station. I venture here less often than I used too, but the website has up to date charts and the forum is entertaining as well.

Not updated as much now since the team has been hired by NBC. Comical video shorts.

About Me

I am a true Calgary Flames fan and I dislike the Oilers very much. My name is Logan Pryor and I was born in raised in Calgary and I am 21 years old. This is my third year at U of L and I have just recently changed majors from Geography to New Media. I felt that Geography didn't exercise the creative aspects of the mind and that New Media would be the best program to this as well as having good career potentials.

Outside of school I enjoy watching movies and I dream of having a fancy flat screen TV to view them on. I work many odd jobs, currently I am employed in Calgary at Valley Ridge Golf Course, but I have worked in Lethbridge as a Cab Driver as well. I have also had a radio show on CKXU 88.3 fm, the local radio station on campus. This was something I enjoyed quite a bit and if i have the time available, I will try to do this again.

It was my time at the radio station where I first felt that my major was not what I wanted to do with my life. I was the production co-coordinator in charge of making ads and show promos. These tasks were fun and interesting and provoked creative thought something my current major couldn't do. One day after I finished a show my friend told me that a student film was taking auditions for zombies. Like any other normal person I leaped at the opportunity to audition to be a zombie. Having never been to an audition before, I never really knew what to expect. I soon learned, after I got the part, that the program the film makers were in was New Media. I have been fascinated ever since. In Spring 2006 I enrolled in New Media 2020, learned basic photoshop, dreamweaver and premiere skills and enjoyed myself very much. I also have good Adobe Audition skills from my time at the radio station. I also own a digital camera.

I hope that my enrollment in this program will give me the tools that are required to succeed in this field, but more importantly give me direction to what career path I will take after I graduate. I hope that through the various courses and course paths in addition to the internship I will find the perfect job and career for me.
